Robert W. Haywood


Robert W. Haywood received his Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law and previously worked for the Indiana Department of Child Services as a staff attorney where he handled challenging family law cases focused on child welfare and permanency.

He graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice and later a master’s degree in Political Science and is currently admitted to practice before Indiana courts and the federal courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

Before practicing law, Robert worked as a Family Case Manager for the Department of Child Services and taught Criminal Justice and Political Science courses as an adjunct instructor for Odessa College, Henderson Community College, and Trine University. He went on to teach for nearly ten years combined at Miami University and Ivy Tech as a full-time faculty member before becoming a licensed attorney.

Robert is passionate about securing positive results for clients and their families with a responsive, efficient, and ethical approach.

He was raised in the South Bend area, but now calls the Indianapolis area home, and is an avid fan of college football, college basketball, and enjoys cycling, kayaking, and reading.
